    I don't know if this is in the right board or not.

    I found this video of what happens when your laptop battery starts on fire. It's a pretty intense movie.

    To be honest, after the intro I half expected to see a video of an above ground atomic explosion. I mean, come on, that would have been hilarious.

    But anyway, yes the video illustrates a good point: if your notebook starts to emit even the slightest trace of smoke or vapor at normal room temperatures, run for you life.

    That is what happens when the case melts and exposed the lithium cells and it reacts with water in the air.
