Right, I've got the choice of 2 hard-drives to put into my M1530, the first contender is a Fujitsu MHY2250BH, and it’s up against a Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD2500BEVT-75ZCT2.

They are both 250GB 5400RPM drives.

So I am wondering if one will offer better performance over the other? Perhaps better battery life?

Maybe because they are pretty similar drives they are equal in performance?

    Any input greatly appreciated, thanks.

Ive had good luck with both HDD Brands. SO id say either way youre get a nice Harddrive.
...But WD is more popular/better reputation i guess.

If I had a choice, I would go with the WD.

But I think that the Fujitsu is also good, since I'm using it now and I've had no problems with it yet.

Well, the inital impressions are to go with the Fujitsu... It is near silent when operational, but the WD keeps making a clicky scratchy noise a bit like my old Playstation used to.

I have tried both the performance and quiet modes in the BIOS but it doesn't make a difference....

Unless anyone has any other revelations i think it will be the Fujitsu!
