    Hello all,

I really want to upgrade my laptop's hd. But I am wondering which is better to get? faster RPM or more cache? The one I want is the Toshbia 100 GB 5,400 RPM 16 MB Cache. It doesnt to be that HD, I know there are some 7,200 RPM, at least double the GB my current HD. Also I am little concern with the battery life, will it improve, unimprove, or no change?

    Thank you.

    JC

5400-> 7200rpm is always worth it, but if you need space, 5400 is the way to go, as it is more budget friendly, as the speed is barely noticable. I never really was concerned about cache, I don't see a difference.

Yeah, HD with 5,400 RPM is certainly cheaper then 7,200 RPM. Right now my HD is 4,200 RPM with 2 MB cache. Down right slow, huh?

Anyway, what about the battery life, is it the same?

    TIA.

Generally you lose 20 minutes or so per jump up
