Well I've been wondering this so I'm just going to throw it out there: What is the BEST way to clean fingerprints etc. off of a shiny/glossy screen? I've tried glasses cloths but I'm afraid to use wet or more harsh things. Could someone please explain to me what is the best method? Thanks for clearing this up.

I used gasoline.. Dude.. gasoline is like the universal cleaner XD
jm.. actually I want to know too. -
Micro Fiber Cloths. Go to a Best Buy/Circut City/Radio Shack/etc. You can get them there. Some come with special monitor cleaner, its good stuff, but some can be expensive. Now what ever you do, DO NOT USE WINDEX, it will really smuge up your screen. Micro Fiber cloth's are the best, most of the time no cleaner/ liquid is ever needed.

I use KLEAR SCREEN. It came with my 700m and after that I've bought and used it on all of my screens (DLP, laptop, monitors) and it's great.

tap water and toilet paper

a clean damp cloth. works for me.

Oh you dont want to do that. Is your toilet paper lint free. Mico fiber is perfect.

circuit city has nextech brand cleaner (it is monster cleaner repackaged for cc.. it litterally comes to them from monster) and a microfiber cloth packaged together for 14.99. It is a pretty good deal considering the cleaner is amazing and lasts forever.

lol, I agree with drumfu. Toilet paper is very convenient. Seriously, I keep a roll on my work desk at all times. If it's soft enough to wipe your tush with, it's gentle enough for your nose and cleaning sensitive screens and eyewear with.

Thanks for the replies everyone I'll keep this in mind when cleaning my screen ^.^ Sometimes it's hard to get those fingerprints of these glossy screens so thanks for clearing it up.

I just use my fingers. If you cover the entire screen with fingerprints, you won't know the difference.

I just wipe down my screen with a wet paper towel and then dry it off with a microfiber cloth - it works surprisingly well.

This is the best piece of advice I've found on this site yet. I can't remember who posted it originally. Probably $4.00 at the most for a basic investment. Should last years.
