Hi guys, first post......so go easy :)

I have a Clevo D41ES with a Pentium 4 2.8Ghz, 512KB On-Die L2 Cache & 533MHz Front Side Bus, FC-PGA2 Package (478-pin), SIS M650 chipset. I'd like to know if this is upgradable to a Pentium M or Mobile Pentium M.....(might be showing my lack of knowledge here!). Also, I've broken one of myUSB ports, are these easily fixable? Thanks in advance guys :)

No, the Pentium M's wont work. Even though they might be the same socket the pin configurations are different between the P4 and the P-M. You can probably upgrade to a higher speed pentium 4 but this depends on the BIOS support. The most probable upgrade which could work would be to another Northwood P4 512K cache with 533MHz FSB.

cheers for the info miner! thought the P4 and P-M had the same socket but was unsure if my board would take the P-M so that answers my question...thanks.

Does anyone know if a physically broken usb socket can be changed for a new one?.....thanks
