    Hey guys

My GPU is not working. Number of things I am thinking of doing. Haven't done the oven thing yet, seems risky to me.

But I found this on ebay (nVidia 7950 GeForce chipset)

However I am not sure if it is the right one. How come I call Clevo UK, and they tell me the replacement part would cost £250-£300 but when I look it up on ebay I find it for £35?

If anyone knows about this please let me know if this is infact the right part for the Rock X770 laptop.

    Thanks

Well, you might as well try the oven trick.
But do it with the GPU only (if you can remove it from the laptop - and it would appear that its possible).

As for replacement parts from Clevo costing as much as they do... that's simple... manufactures love to overcharge those items (and they do it because they can).
But I am curious that the Ebay one costs only 35GBP - you could check with the seller to see if he/she offers returns - and if they do, then it shouldn't be an issue.
But for such a low price of 35 pounds, I'd probably go for it either way.
