I have a Clevo P151HM1 laptop and I'm quite happy with it. But the graphics from the GTX 460M are a little dated now. Id like to upgrade my graphics card rather than buy a new computer because I'm pretty happy with my i7 processors. I've been reading post after post and have gotten pretty much the full spectrum of responses from "Don't do it it'll brick you machine for sure!" To one member who said, "The GTX 680M is pretty much plug-and-play!" I'm pretty familiar with all of the steps involved (both physical, like altering heat sinks, and software like flashing the bios). I would like a bit of clarity from users who have at least tried to upgrade to the GTX 680M or the more popular HD7970M. Has there been any attempts made on the newer mobile cards like the gtx700M series? I'm currently leaning towards the gtx 680M if it truly is more of a "plug-and-play" type of install.

For anyone more interested, I've determined the limit of my P151HM1 to be upgrading the GPU to the 680M (because it supports the HDMI port while the AMD has problems with the HDMI). However, the GPU upgrade would leave a bit of a bottleneck at the CPU so the processor will be upgraded to the 2960XM processor. All credit should go to user jaybee83 whose excellent guides for both of these upgrades are absolutely fantastic! Check them out if you haven't!

Hey I also have a Clevo P150HM and my graphics card is starting to the bed. Do you think you could send me those tutorials because I will need them soon once my new card arrives. I'm currently running the Radeon HD 6970m but I will most likely switch to a Geforce. Send me that link once you get a chance. Thank you :)
