    Clevo P650hs heatsink refit/repaste?

    Performance on my P650HS from Mythlogic tanked recently and I think it's probably down to the heatsink fit. While looking up how to do a repaste on the forums, I saw some threads indicating that my high temperatures might indicate a sloppy heatsink fit. Considering Mythlogic repasted the thing themselves, I think it's likely. However, I have no idea how to check the fit and go about fixing the problem if there's an issue. Could anyone point me to some guides, preferably with a list of tools, or share their advice? Thanks!

    Here is good video of @Mr. Fox shimming to make a better fit.



    I have never done this so I couldn't tell you the correct way to determine whether or not it needs to be done. I know that this is a common problem with Clevo heat sinks. Maybe he can steer you in the right direction.
