Hey guys, this is my first post on these forums so I hope I'm posting on the right category :p
Also, Happy New Year everyone :D

I have a Clevo W150DAQ laptop that has a really odd problem. The video card [AMD Radeon HD 6370M] fully supports DX11, but during gameplay in any DX11-enabled game, the laptop will completely lock up, sometimes with sound looping. I can't do anything when that happens and the only solution is to hold down the power button until it shuts down. It's done the same thing when browsing the internet as well, so I wouldn't say it's a problem with Direct3D, but rather DirectX 11 in general. The laptop also has another integrated video card not used during gaming [AMD Mobility Radeon HD 4250].

Using Speccy I was able to discover that all the drivers on the laptop are extremely outdated, especially the GPU drivers. Therefore, I tried to update them, only to be greeted with a BSOD during the video driver installation for the 6370M. BIOS is also outdated, it seems. Here's a screenshot from Speccy and some more details on the laptop's specifications: 1ler.jpg

Video Cards : AMD Radeon HD 6370M/AMD Mobility Radeon HD 4250M
    RAM: 4GB DDR3
    OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
CPU: AMD Phenom II P820 Triple-Core

After trying everything I could (even formatting the laptop clean didn't fix this) , I've come here in search for some help. So now, I have to ask:
    1) How can I install new drivers without the laptop just giving me a blue screen of death?
    2) Is there a newer version of the BIOS/vBIOS that I can download?

The issue may be the cpu not being powerful enough for DX11 games? Or maybe overheating? Are the vents and fan(s) clean? Does the system need to be repasted? Is the power supply functioning properly?

What I would try (after the above are also checked):

I would do a clean install of the O/S and without connecting to the internet:

Install the chipset driver, install the video/sound/mouse drivers (any version that works) and then update the BIOS.

    Re-Install Windows (clean).

Install the chipset drivers, and the latest video/sound/mouse drivers (they should install properly now, with any luck).

    Good luck.

Overheating is out of the question, fans/vents have been cleaned. Power supply is functioning A-OK.

The CPU is indeed weak, but I think it supports DX11. Couldn't really clarify that though, if you can that would be great :)

As for updating the BIOS, I always wanted to try but I can't find a website that has a newer version. Clevo's website has all the drivers that are on the laptop right now [same versions], and the BIOS is nowhere to be found.

    Thanks for your suggestions :)
