    Hi guys.

My girlfriend has a W230SD (960m etc) and she's like to upgrade her screen to something more than fullhd like the 3200x.... or the 2540x...

As you know, is there a shop, or reseller or something from where I can buy those panels?

    Thank you all!

I think it is possible.. Contact Eurocom/Hidevolution for the parts...

3200x1800 is the screen I believe...

Indeed, but better keep far away from that; the 3200x1800 is a terrible display. The 2560x1440, on the other hand, is even a little better than the 1920x1080 it has now. Both also need a different cable since the fhd uses a 2-lane cable and the fhd+ panels need 4-lane to run. The part nr. for the wqhd/1440p cable is '6-43-W23S1-020-K'.

That cable will have to be sourced from a reseller, but the lcd not necessarily so. Although it's not a very common item, it has been used in a few other models and there's some for sale at a little over $100. Keep that in mind when receiving the quote for the lcd from the reseller; $150 would be 'good', but $200 or more is likely. Same for the cable; $25 is ok, but some charge as much as $75 :vbeek: .

Yes, perfect. With most other screens there'd be a lot of 'compatible' offers, but this panel only has one other competing series and this listing is for an exact model.

Apart from finding the cable there's one other thingy; the fhd is held in place with four screws on its sides, yet the wqhd (and qhd) have no screw holes (slimmer design). So this requires a few strips of double-sided tape, same as if you had received the 4k as the original panel.

Can I ask you if you may post a good offer for a cable (always for the 2560x1440)? I'm worried of buying a wrong cable that won't fit into the w230sd chassis.

    Thank you a lot!

Easiest is to ask the original reseller and mention ' wqhd lcd cable, part nr. 6-43-W23S1-020-K'. Alternatively, send an email to rjtech (US) or Goldenstar (Europe) for a quote. Have ordered parts from both several times, all without a hitch.
