    Hi all,

My laptop is starting to have dead pixels that display only red, so I thought it might be a time to upgrade.

There is a new model of Clevo called the W230SS, which is practically the same model as the W230ST, the only difference is the 860M (There might be other differences that are less obvious.

The W230SS can have a standard 1080p ips screen
(exactly the same model as a W230ST)

But it can also have a 3K Display.

Screen for Clevo W230SS. Replacement Laptop LCD Screens

What problems would I have installing the 3k display into the W230ST? Would it work at all?

    Thanks.

I think it should work as long as your motherboard has an eDp connection and you'll need a new screen cable...
