I'm in the middle of the canadian FL90 fiasco. I've been trying to build myself a fl90 since July and I can't seem to get any right parts. All the suppliers here have either no stock or wrong descriptions.

Anywho, I was wondering if the EL80 9 cell battery shown here is the same battery as the fl90 battery shown here ?
The specifications are the same. 7200 mAh, 9 cell, they look the same, same company. I just can't for the life of me decide whether I should order the fl90 battery at 120 USD or if I should get it at 90 CAD by getting an EL80 battery.

Here's something interesting. Look at the compatibility of the battery listed on pro-star.com. Search for: BAT-9020 .

All the FL90's in Canada are 6 cell, so I'm trying to get a 9 cell for mine. It's not VBI so it's not guaranteed to work.

    Please help!

    Thanks. :D

I can't guarantee that the ones you are looking at are the same battery, but the upstream distributors that we work with use the same battery for both the FL90 and the EL80. There is a good chance they are the same, but you may want to err on the side of caution, because that is a pretty important part of the notebook, and if it happens to be the wrong one, the results may be devastating.
