    Hi, was just wondering what the best CPU upgrade would be for a Compaq Presario CQ61-305SA, not to up on AMD so not really to sure. The current CPU is a AMD Sempron M100 processor. Thanks.

    Look for an AMD Turion Ultra M600. I have no idea where you would buy one, but compared to your Sempron it is a big boost, and it should work.

    Thanks for that, so the socket is S1, so any S1 CPU will fit provided there is BIOS support for it. Looks like I'll be hopping over the the Compaq section for some more advice.
