    That drive will work just fine.

    The standard M2000 bios supports up to 80gb to begin with anyway.

    You just have to swap the hard drive caddy from you old one to the new one. See your service manual if you need help.

    That drive is a two platter 80gb drive, which will be faster than your current drive, but it will still be kinda slow.
    If you want to upgrade to a faster harddrive, you should look into the Samsung Hm160HC. It is the fastest IDE/PATA harddrive. It is faster than all other 5400 and 7200rpm drives for the interface.
