    Help!!!!!!!!!!!

I set a power-up password on my notebook and now I am locked out, because the password isn't what I wanted to put in.
Does anybody know if taking the BIOS battery out might work?
What else is to know to reset the password?
    Thank you in advance!

P.S. It is well MY OWN notebook
