I know this might be a repeated question for someone here. I have been searching an actual answer of it for an entire day, but I haven't gotten the absolute answer I have been looking for.
I want to buy a new laptop 16-18 screen, known as desktop replacement. I'm working as Software Engineering, in charged of designing and programming. So, I really need a very powerful laptop. I will be graduated my MS degree from MIT this semester (I'm working on a Co-op program like I said earlier).
I just want to know, Compare between Arrandale vs Clarksfield at highest speed clock possible, Clarksfield 920xm Quad core 2.0/3.33 and Arrandale dual core 620 2.66/3.06 (or 3.3 I'm not sure) Which one is better in overall performance. I don't care for the battery's issue but performance. Since I like to carry my additional battery with me
I don't care about the cost as well. My Dad told me I could ask him to get any laptop I want for finishing my school without worrying the cost.
Please advice me, If the Quad core one is better, i will buy one within this year. If the latter one is better, I will wait till it comes out.
Note, I would like you people make the decision based on its perfomance only, assuming that everything on your system is the same (RAM, HDD GPU) except CPU
Thanks so much guys
