Is there a website that offers a side by side comparison of hardware components? I'm customizing my new computer, but I'm not a tech guru, so there are things that I don't know.

    For example..
    2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 580M
    or 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6990M

$300 dollar price difference, but technically the same product?

    and...
    1TB Raid 0 (2x 500GB Hybrid Solid State Drives)
    or 1.5TB Raid 0 (2x 750GB 7,200RPM)

Not much of a price difference, but I have tons of questions. Are there moving parts in Hybrid SSDs? Which has more computing power?

    And...

    Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO
    vs.
    Intel® Advanced N + WiMAX 6250 a/g/n 2x2 MIMO Technology
    vs.
    Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000

Do more antennas equate to more GB/sec? Does it even matter which you have, if you don't upgrade the wireless transmitter?

I need to know these things. If anyone can answer them or point me in the right direction, I'd be very thankful.

You can find a lot of answers in the clevo forum.

    Otherwise use this: notebookcheck.net

6990 and 580 are very close in performance. The $300 price premium for, I'm assuming, the Nvidia, is marketing.

Hybrid drives combine traditional platter storage with a flash memory buffer. Advantages are lower wear on the platters and faster data access.

More antennas do equal higher throughput, but be sure that the notebook in question is actually wired for 3 antennas. I think some vendors charge extra for the 1103 when it's completely useless and count on people not to notice. The 1000 is complete garbage, worst Wifi card I ever used. So bad that I used a modded BIOS just to remove HP's wifi card whitelist so I could install an 1102.

Heads up, though. The 1103 does not support Wireless Display, the 6250 does. If that seems like something you might be interested in, go with the 6250.

Thankyou both. After looking through notebookcheck.net, I found that in the comparison of
    2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 580M
    and 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6990M

The AMD actually outperforms the NVIDIA by impressive numbers. Specifically, fps for nearly every game graphics demanding on the market.
