This was mentioned on Lifehacker yesterday, not sure if you guys saw it, but this is a great reference.
Sonic840 of DeviantArt did a great job putting together a huge .png poster of the various ports, sockets, and slots that you can find in your typical desktop or notebook.
One interesting thing on the poster is that you can see the physical differences between DDR2 and DDR3 RAM - that'll answer the question I've see asked a lot in the forums: it's not possible to plug a DDR3 module into a DDR2 slot.
I found it really useful, so I thought I'd share it with you guys![]()
