    Computer slowly comes to a complete stand still

    i have a usb sound card that is called UB-003, i downloaded the drivers online, they installed fine etc, but when i go to the control panel or use the icon in the icontray my laptop comes to a slow stop. it starts slowing down and freezes in about 10 seconds. :s


    i'm running Windows 7 RC x64 >.<

    Running a not-yet released OS may have to do something with it. :)

    Well i kinda guessed that but that's not really helpful is it..

    atm i can only run 2 channels because that's the default >.<

    Best way to know is to try using the device on a relatively established Windows machine.

    Steve is right. Try it on a Windows XP/Vista system and see if it works.

    Then it's a driver issue from your sound card. W7 doesn't have the driver.

    the vista driver installed fine, it's just when i go to open the equaliser software so i can change it from 2 channel to 6 channel it asks me if i want to confirm it like uac does.. and then just gradually comes to a stand still.

    i can get audio etc but only through 2 speakers.
