I have a dell 9300. I installed the newest version of speed fan and I also have Everest. Everest says my cpu is 126 degrees fahrenheight and gpu is 138. On speed fan it says cpu is 127 and gpu is 118. Which one do I go by?

I would average the 2 temps as Everest and Speed Fan measure slightly different things.

And BTW, it's not that hot, only about 50 C, though you couldn't do any harm by cleaning/dusting it or using a laptop fan.

Yea it was having major over heating issues. It was getting to be way over 200 degrees. I bought some arctic silver 5 and cleaned out the heat sinks and now it is much better.

I have noticed this also (different Apps) I don't think averaging them serves any purpose. Unless you know one is wrong I would go with the higher temp, it is a more cautious way to handle it. Also there are only so many sensors in there the hotter one (unless wrong) is closer to the CPU and GPU (that's where the heat comes from) 126F and 127F count as the same it is the GPU that is way off. I would trust the higher.
