I recently upgraded a dv8000 from a core duo too a core 2 duo. While upgrading i put on windows vista 64 bit. I cannot find a driver for this sound card for the life of me. I have tried all dv9000 and dv6000 sound drivers for pre dvx500t serries. None of them work. So if anyone knows where to find a driver that would be a big help. Thanks

have you already try this page?:

make sure which are your notebook model. see at the bottom of the notebook (Spec). -
Also try it without a driver. My sound works at least as well with Vista's built-in HD audio driver as it does with the mfr.'s sound driver.

Well i did test the normal windows driver. They do work and the headphone jack works too unlike my dv6000 with factory drivers. The only problem i noticce is the little mute light dosent come on when i press it which if i could get working id like too.
