    Hi guys,
I'm gonna buy a laptop from US and I stay in India. Since the config is pretty good and the prices are pretty cheap there, I decided to buy it from US itself. What I wanna know is do they have different configs over phone than on the site? I mean do they have a better config on phone than on the site? or is everything same on the site and phone. This is my config so please have a look at it and do suggest a little bit over it as well.

I would say a little of both. Meaning go online see what they have and what they are offering as free upgrades . Also you can find coupons online. Then call and see what they can give you for free upgrades. Combine the two if you can or go for the best option then use the coupons you find online and you should have done the best you can to get the most out of your money

hmm I see well I cannot call them up since I stay here in India. My uncle is gonna order it I just wanted to know if they do have any extra options on phone or not coz if they do then I can talk to my uncle and find out what all they are offering. Asking him to buy one for me itself is a great thing. Anyway what do you think about this config?

    Hmm...

    Almost $1500, only 4GB RAM, no Blu-Ray and a 500GB HDD?

You must really value the gpu it has?

I couldn't find the Blu-ray option on the site this is the reason I was asking if they do offer anything more on phone/shop or whatever they have on the site is all they offer even on the phone/shop and 500GB is more than enough for me as of now, since I am playing to buy SSD in the near future GB ram I am not sure if I should go with higher one so I left it as it is.

4GB RAM with a quadcore SNB platform is a very unbalanced system, imo.

While the HDD capacity may be sufficient for you, the overall price still seems high to me (you're just paying for the Alienware 'brand' - which, is not worth much to me). However, I am not in the market for such a gpu as you have spec'd - maybe it really is worth it?

Yea its true I am really paying for Alienware since I almost saw the same config in Dell XPS which was lesser than this. I am not sure about the GPU either, there were only 2 options one was this and the other one was 3gb which I felt was a bit over priced as it was gonna cost me another $100 extra which I felt is not worth it. Ram I can still ask him to upgrade it to 6 may be I dont know. One of the main reasons for me choosing Alienware is coz of looks where as XPS is pretty cheap and I was gonna get 15" for a almost similar price

Oh one more thing for me $1500 doesnt look much since I will still be saving nearly 20k INR ($500Approx) so it looks a pretty cheap deal to me and compared to what I'm getting here in India this config is awesome.
