I have been looking on the net to find the largest 1.8 ssd and it looks like 256gb is the largest out there, is this correct? Trying to figure out if there is a 512gb drive in the 1.8" format. Currently not worried about cost just try to find out if there is anything out there larger than 256 that I may have missed.

Are you actually looking to buy a 512GB 1.8" SSD because you can order them through a few companies but you have to email them directly about the custom order.

You can take a look at the specs for the various Sandforce controllers, which I believe is used in a few companies, to see specifications.
