BUT... if you check out the frys website below, the price for a single 2gb corsair pc-5300 ddr2 is much cheaper than the 2x2gb corsair pc2-5300 ddr2. Wouldn't it be the same and cheaper if I bought two of the single ones for a total of $50 after MIR? Is it suppose to be more beneficial to buy them in a kit even though I can buy the exact same ones individually, is that why they charge more for a kit?

Matched memory pairs tend to cost more, its also possible that the pair have better timings or just that the single dimm is newer and the stock prices for the pair hasnt been adjusted.
