hi i am considering buying a Clevo M570U but i am confused.
i am thinking about getting a Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4Ghz processor but i have been told that they aren't much better than the T7300 2Ghz one. is this true?
Also i am gamer and was wondering if getting the 17 WUXGA 1920x1200 screen is really worth it in terms of performance when using the 7950 GTX card.
thanks for all the help. :)

What is meant by people who say that is the performance increase does not justify the cost difference. In most apps including games no real world improvement between the two.

Higher resolution while looking great lowers FPS.

The Clevo M570U cannot be configured with a T7700 or a T7300 processor, as those are Santa Rosa based processors and the M570U uses a Napa chipset. However the newer M570 RU has the T7700 and the T7300 as options. I'd say that in gaming you'll never need or notice a difference in anything above a T7200/T7300 processor.

As for resolution, if you plan on gaming at native resolution, then I'd get no higher than WSXGA+ (1680x1050), as the Go7950GTX just isn't strong enough to handle anything above that. However, if you don't mind turning the resolution down in games, or turning eye-candy off, then by all means go for the WUXGA resolution screen.
