I just downloaded Mass Effect about an hour ago from the EA store thinking that it would download to my ssd not my second hard drive, which was what I told it to do. Once it was down downloading I saw that my ssd lost 9 GBs of space, so I just assumed that everything went fine and it did download correctly to the ssd. But after doing some quick searching I could not for the life of me find the mass effect file anywhere on the ssd drive. Then after searching my second hard drive, every file dealing with the game was there. The questions I have are why did it do this, and why did I lose 9GBs of space on my ssd when the game was not even downloaded there? This is pretty serious to me since ssd space is pretty expensive to just waste like this. Thanks for any help.

how have you downloaded it? internet explorer ordinary downloading? because, if so, it downloads to the temporary internet folder first, and moves the file then to the target folder. a move to another partition means a file copy, then deletion. so maybe it couldn't delete it for some reason.
check your temporary internet folder, it sure is there.
or use this: Windirstat to find the big files on your system.
