    Connect 1366px laptop to 1920px external monitor?

    Can the Toshiba L655-S5165 connect to an external monitor with a 1920 res.? It has a ATI 5650, and a intel i5. Does it matter that the laptop itself has a 1366 screen?

    yes, it can be connected.

    It has nothing to do with the laptop's own resolution. In fact, it should support upto 2560 x 2048 (i might be wrong on this number).

    yes you'll be fine, you can probably even use both monitors at the same time since that card isnt just an entry level card

    it will work.i had a intel 4500mhd and i worked... no doubt that it's gonna work with any ati.
