Hello, I got Asus K56C laptop which has HDMI and VGA slot, and I would like to get confirmation on what cable I need to buy for connecting my Dell u2311h monitor to this laptop. Monitor does not have HDMI cable as far as I know, it only has DVI and DisplayPort. So I guess my best bet is to get HDMI to DVI cable, and connect HDMI to laptop and DVI to monitor? Would this one work?:

    Thank you.

Yeah, but I just want to make sure it's really the right cable, because I read a lot of stories of incompatibility issues when using hdmi to dvi connections.

I've never had any issues with these cables (typically from amazon basics or monoprice).
