So I have a Asus z70va notebook and I bought a Seagate 500GB and 250GB hard drive (3.5" each). I want to get two enclosure cases for them so I can use the space. Can I use eSATA to connect it to my laptop? Any recommendations for cases?

You can't use eSATA because notebooks don't have external eSATA ports, and it is very hard to find an external HDD enclosure that has an eSATA ouput.
HDD Enlcosures usually use USB 2.0 or Firewire.
The type of Enclosure you should buy depends on what sort of Hard Drive you have. That is, whether your Hard drive is 2.5" or 3.5".
If you have 3.5" Hard Drives, it may be cheaper and better to buy a stackable HDD Enclosure, where you can put two Hard Drives in a single enclosure to essentially make 1 single Hard Drive. -
Okay thanks. I was thinking of going with a stackable one. Just trying to find something cheap but reliable. Can a 3.5 drive fit in a 5.25 space?

You could use esata if you get a pcmcia or expresscard esata adapter (whichever one is compatible with your laptop) and an esata enclosure. Unless you absolutely have to have sata speeds (which your hard drives probably can't match anyway) you should get enclosures that have both firewire and usb. That way you've covered all options no matter what computer you hook it up to.

Make sure whatever enclosures you get have a flip power switch rather than a push-on/push-off switch. The latter break easily.
