My corolrs are all twisted and i have long stripes across my screen which means that the connection between my laptop screen and the laptop itself is broken. Is there any way to fix this myself?

How much would it cost to deliver it to a workshop and let professionals fix it?

On an external monitor it works fine

    Take a picture?

If you're lucky, it's just the display cable that's been frayed/cut and those usually aren't terribly expensive. Can be a bit of work to replace it, though, if you want to do it yourself.

Otherwise there might be a problem with the actual screen, and that might be more expensive for parts, but easier to actually replace.

Depends a lot on what laptop you own, too, I guess.

I see, well i dont have a camera here so i cant take a picture. I think the cable is broken becuse i started to see it a few weeks ago when i moved the screen up and down. Now it is there all the time no matter if i move it or not.

I guess i have to send it in to some repair shop

similar problem here but not as bad as yours. My screen works.. just have to flex the lid a little.. it should cost about $50 USD to replace the cable. Going to have mine replaced tomorrow...

i went to hp service centre... the guy talked about replacing the whole LCD.. but i said , open it up and just reinsert the cable.. wolla all the pink fuzzing went.. only thing is that i need to keep lid closed when starting up and then i can use the laptop like usual... except for some transport cost ( for fuel ), even being out of warranty , my laptop was repaired for free :D

u've got a broken cable most likely so that's needs replacing but if u can disassemble the laptop , try reinserting the cable after removing it and maybe ur problem will be solved..
