    Hi,

The fan on my laptop is now basically constantly loud, it starts off loud and gets louder and once it does get to it's loudest, there is no way to stop it unless you tap it with force above the fan area. I opened it up and cleaned it all and still no difference. It makes a grinding sound that it hasn't made before, not the normal laptop fan noise. It is SO annoying. The fan comes on loud even when I am not using the laptop, say if it just on the internet, using a small amount of CPU no other tasks, the fan still comes on LOUD, with a sort of grinding sound. I don't know what to do, please could someone help? Any ideas what is causing this loud fan sound?

Download HWMonitor and report your CPU and GPU temps.

The bearing(s) are going bad in the fan assembly. It's time to replace it before it dies completely...
