I want to convert an Ultra ATA HDD to SATA. Please help

    I have a seagate barracuda 7200.10 , 320Gb HDD , Ultra ATA .
Recently i purchased a sata usb hard drive dock usb 3.0
I want to connect my HDD in this dock, but realised that the dock only takes SATA port.
So Is there an adaptor that I can buy which will help me connect my ultra ata HDD to SATA dock.

    My HDD - ST3320620A Barracuda 7200.10 Ultra ATA/100 320-GB Hard Drive | Seagate

My HDD dock - Plugable USB 3.0/2.0 SATA Hard Drive Docking Station (LucidPort Chipset) | Plugable

Thanks in advance for any help

You need to buy an IDE -> USB enclosure. There isn't going to be any converters that do what you are looking for and if they do exist they won't fit in that dock.

The dock is USb 3 . I wanted to make use of the higher usb 3 speeds when i copy data.

That's probably the best you're going to get, unfortunately. USB3 is pretty new and device manufacturers are not going to see any point to making a converter for an old standard that is no longer used/sold.

Ultra ATA is only 133mbps.. USB 2.0 is 480..

I don't think USB 3.0 is going to really give you anything on that old drive..

One is Megabyte the other is Megabit. The fastest 5400rpm PATA drives reach over 60 MB/s. 7200 rpm desktop drives should be faster. USB 2.0 is only about 20-40 MB/s.
