Hello all,
When I bought my notebook I picked the cheapest TIM they had available with the thought that I would buy a highgrade TIM later and redo it myself.
I did some research to see what is the best TIM and I think Coollabratory Liquid Pro is the best at the moment(beats AS5 for sure).
Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra - top performance for High-End systems!
I just want some feedback and opinions before I make the purchase. I am planning to put it on my CPU (i7 - 2670QM) and my GPU (HD6990m); is it safe?
Thanks,
Hef

It's designed for what you want to use it for so is has to be safe lol. On another note ICD is another good product to try. I use it and it the best I have ever used.

You have to be very careful when using this..it IS electrically conductive and will corrode aluminum. Read the data sheet.

Honestly, the top 5-10 thermal pastes all perform within a few degrees of each other. The variance is more to do with your application than the paste itself.

My CPU nor my GPU are squared, they are rectangles. I read on the website of Innovation Cooling that the best way of application is 5.0-5.5mm bead, however, I noticed that the tests were all performed using squares. What method of application would be best for me?
Do you have any other tips?
Thanks -
Instead of a spherical bead, put it in the shape of a grain of rice. The pressure of the heatsink should distribute it based on the microcrevices.

..or you can use the line method. See if the web site for CLU has any tips?
