    Hello,

I was just wondering if the cache of 4MB that is in T7200 can make big differnce of pref vs 2MB of T5600 ? Any comparaison yet made, i know the frequency of T5600 is little bit lower but is it noticable ?

    Thanks for your clarifications :)

    in some applications it is.

I think you should go for 7200
    it's a "sweet point" in intel's Core2Duo processor family...

Anything can make a difference but this difference is worth only if you can take advantage of it...

It depends on what you use the notebook for as to how much performance difference you will see. If it isn't something CPU intensive then you likely won't notice the difference. The 4MB cache does make a difference in specific applications and the T7200 is also clocked 170MHz faster on top of that.

The 7200 is clocked 8% faster and every benchmark I ve seen as shown him 10% faster or less then the 5600 so basically it is somewhere between 0% to 2% more performant per megahertz then the 5600.... So however you look at it is not that much of an upgrade (the cache doesn<t seem to do much... since the increase in performance is directly related to the increase of the cpu frequency. If the cache would be doing something, we would see an increase in performance greater then 8 - 10% since 8% is the difference in frequency).
