    Hello!!

I've been searching (not very very much, I ought admit, but I'm too busy) and I couldn't find an answer to my question... I was planning to buy a M1210with Core 2 Duo 1.8. The point is, that I can get much cheaper one model with Core 2 Duo 1.73. My question, hence, is whether will notice a big performance difference running Vista and games such as Medieval II: Total war, Counter Strike and alike. Or, eventually, which will be the "things" I will expirience a substantial difference in...

    Thanks everybody

Between 1.73 and 1.8 GHz you won't notice any difference...

That is correct you wont notice but what GPU comes w/both if not the same that is the important component not the CPU.

Nope, and how much are you saving between the 1.8 and the 1.73?
And are you sure they are both C2D's and not one of them a CD?

Yes AllanHuang, Iam aware, that's an important point, cause they do this Core Duo 2 Core Duo Duo 2 Core 2, confusing! Ah, Annoying! But I do am aware, and I'm in Argentina, I should have said that somewere, sorry forgot that step, so I don't think prices I get here will be fairly compared with USA or europe. I'm saving 350 dollars or so for that and 1GB of RAM, which I'm planning to upgrade........and by the way, is it easy to open the memory cover and slept the card into the slot? Easy like changing a lamp?

Yep, unscrew, take off cover, take ram out, put ram in, cover up and screw and your done.Unless one of the ram slots is located under the keyboard instead of both of the on the bottom of the laptop.

You also want to probably run MemTest86 to check for errors after you install the new ram.
