I'm planning on getting a dv6700t laptop from HP and I have a question about its processor.

    I have the following options:

    -Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T5450 (1.67 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) (default option)

    -Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) (+$75)

Basically, I just want to know if the upgrading to the T7250 is worth the seventy-five bucks. Is it going to make a huge difference or not? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Depends on what you do. If you're a heavy user then yes, but for basic stuff like email and word then definitely not.

If you aren't do multimedia/video encoding on your laptop, choose T5450, as T7250's faster clock speed and FSB won't give much difference while you're running productivity tasks. For me, it's worth upgrading if it were T7300 as it comes with larger cache that will help much(4MB), but it's just me.
