    Core 2 Duo and 64 bit

    Is the Core 2 Duo going to be 64 bit? Can someone direct me to a link or website that explains the advantages. Thanks!

    There's a pretty good explanation of the 64-bit stuff here
    Note that in many common scenarios, the 64-bit extensions themselves won't really matter (Average users don't need more than 4GB ram, and they don't typically need to perform serious 64-bit math either)
    However, running in 64-bit mode also includes a few other improvements that can boost performance of "ordinary" apps.

    And yes, Core 2 has 64 bit support.
