I'm looking at new laptops and I'm thinking about getting an external Blu-Ray drive in the future and I'm wondering if the SU3500 + Intel 4500MHD hooked up to a TV will be able to play a Blu-Ray movie without hiccups?

SU3500 will do everything else I need as far as I know but I'm wondering if I need a better processor for Blu-Ray?

Yes, it will. 4500MHD supports hardware acceleration of all bluray formats.

SU3500 + Blue Ray should work as 4500MHD can acclerate blue ray video... anyways , u most probably won't be able to upgrade the processor as CULV processors are usually soldered to motherboard... Also just make sure u update ur intel drivers to latet...
