are the 533mhz fsb versions of core duo t2050 and t2250 interchangable processors with the 667mhz ones like T2300, T2400, etc..? becuase I wanted the T2400 if i buy the HP dv2000t but since i will just be dropping in a merom later when they come maybe in a year or so i was thinking of getting just a T2050 for now then upgrade later because i do more of multi - tasking than cpu intensive things i mean most intensive things i do normally is photoshop and what not.

Any of the Core Duo T2xxx series would be interchangeable. The chipset supports anything from the base T2050 to the high-end T2700.
Keep in mind that the processor speed does not matter much - the only way you'll notice a difference between a lower-end Core Duo and a higher-end one is if you are running benchmarks, or doing rendering/encoding.
I don't know if the dv2000t will be upgradeable to a Merom - Intel partners have confirmed that a BIOS upgrade is required to do so. Whether or not HP will have that is unknown, and I wouldn't gamble on it.
I think it is a better idea to either A) Go with the T2400 to have that extra power or B) Wait a month (end of August - early Sept) for the Merom to actually be in a notebook.
Core Duo T2050, T2250 Interchangable with.
