    My friend is between 2 laptops with these processors. Which is better?

    The T2250 is definetley faster than the Tl-50 but the Tl-50 is more future proof due to its 64bit capability.

    i don't think that the gateway is junk

    it has an ati 1150, which is much better then any gma, though i'm not sure what gpu the hp has

    also, it has 64 bit support



    but it doesn't matter, the gateway is sold out :)

    I would go with the HP regardless. 64-bit right now isn't something I would base your buying decision on. The HP laptop has a much more pleasing design, a better keyboard, and superior build quality. I've seen both side by side in Best Buy. The Gateway is not a bad machine but I wouldn't take it over the HP.
