These two cpus are configurable on an HP dv6000t, and the T2350 costs $125 while the T5300 is at $170. The T2350 is higher clocked, but I can't find info on it anywhere (even on Intel's site). Besides being only 32-bit capable, would it be superior in performance against the T5300?
From looking at the bench chart on Notebookcheck, there is a T2400 with a slightly lower clock than the T2350. Do you think it would be close to the T2400 (which beats the T5300 in the chart)? http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html

T2350: 1.86Ghz@533, max 14x
This is an overclock gem as pushing to 667Ghz would make it a 2.26Ghz part. There is a newer one, T2450 max at 15x so you can get 2.5Ghz. Almost the highest clocked notebook CPU. However, T5300 is an over all better chip in terms of efficiency. -
Thanks.

I have played around with mine a bit and I think T2350@667 is about as fast as a T7100(and should be on par with T7200 if I use the PC5300 DDR2 RAM instead of PC4200).
T5300 should use less power though. -

clockgen. Make sure it can find your chipset's PLL IC though. Mine is a Samsung R40plus which use ATI chipset and I can overclock the FSB.

Okay. Thanks for your help!

I would probably go with the T5300 because it's a newer and more efficient CPU.

hmmm why dont they have that anymore? ran outta stock eh?
tried overclocking with my dv9000 using clockgen, got a BSOD, not so easy to find the required stuff. -
