I have 2 corrupt 1 gig sticks of OCZ platinum. I got what I deserved for how much stuff I downloaded from bit torrent without using any sort of virus scanner. My question is should I try to sell them for practically nothing or just throw them away?

Ram can't get corrupted by viruses. If they really are damaged, file for an RMA. OCZ ram have lifetime warranties.

Its probably your harddrive that is infected or something which would require a reinstall of the OS
-
what makes you think they are corrupt?
-
Trial and error actually. I have reformated my harddrive about a dozen times now and I still get a lot of crashing issues as in bsod, I also get weird cd errors when I try to install from a cd. Now I don't get these when I use an old 512mb stick that I have. So I am left to believe they are corrupt. I am forced to install everything with only the 512mb in and switch back to the 2 gigs and hope I can get a few hours of gaming in before it starts blue screening. I have been inches away from throwing my pc out of my window a few times now and have lost patience for it. I have also tried another harddrive and I get the same issues.

why dont you actually test the sticks. Get memtest 86+ or RAM probe (just google it) and actually test the sticks. Let that be your last word.

RMA them. Best option. RAM shouldn't be corrupted by merely software, and I don't think any virus can change timings and voltages.

don't RMA just yet...test them first. Theres no point in paying for shipping, and then getting a call 3 days later from OCZ saying that theyre gonna send the sticks back to you cuz theyre fine.
TEST THEM FIRST...
use memtest86 or RAM probe -

Run memtest first, I agree. Something else may be wrong.
There's an article here on doing a memory test:
