    Hello Guys!

    i just bought some new 2 x Corsair 4G DDR3 1333MHz(Model: CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9) for upgrading my Alienware m15x computer.

But when i open up CPU-Z for getting infomation about them, it show the DRAM Frequency is on "532.2 MHz"
all the time, i tried to change the DRAM Frequency in BIOS to 1333MHz, but without any luck - and as far as i know the frequency is at 1333Mhz on the specify ram

i know that WEI isn't a great program for benchmarking, but since i upgrade the ram, my "Memery(RAM):" score has downfall from 7.1 to 6.9 -.-'

why? - and what can i do :)?

    Thanks!

is your m15x running a first gen Arrandale chip (e.g. i5-580m)? or older? these CPUs could only support booting in to 1066mhz (533mhz double pumped) of DDR3 max unless you have a BIOS that supports overclocking. IIRC, the BIOS is necessary because the machine will boot the CPU IMC to run 1066mhz first then it will quickly ramp the RAM speed up to the specified overclock before windows is loaded. this is not an issue as most Desktop motherboards support this capability but precious few laptop mobos will have this function.

The 540m doesn't support anything faster than 1066MHz... what you're seeing is all correct.
