Which would you choose as an OS drive? Don't suggest any others as these are my only options. Cheers.

Assuming that they are the same price, get the Crucial C300. On a SATA-2 system like what you have, it performs better on paper and in benchmarks. If you get a SATA-3 capable system some time in the future, you can put the Crucial C300 in it and use it at SATA3 speeds.
If there is a price difference (anything around $10 or more), get the cheaper drive. The honest truth is that you won't be able to tell the difference between SSDs when it comes to real-world performance, once you get an SSD that is "good enough." And both the Corsair F-series and the Crucial C300 series meet that "good enough" requirement. -

Both are the same cost... Yeah my vertex 2E drives keep biting the dust (where an ordinary HDD has been fine) so I have been offered the F60 as a replacement. However the C300 is being sold there cheaper.

If they cost the same, then it honestly doesn't really matter. Get the Crucial C300, because it performs better on paper and in benchmarks.
If you still can't decide, flip a coin. -
The Sandforce drive will beat the C300 64GB (on SATA II) in multi tasking and seq. write speeds.
Some info in the bottom review in my signature.
Corsair F60 may have some reliability concerns though, as mentioned in the other threads.
Corsair F60 or 64GB Corsair C300?
