Hi, there. I am about to replace my HDD with a SSD Drive between Corsair Force 60GB or OCZ Vertex2 60GB. Do you have any experience? Which one would you prefer...Regards

I don't know. They are both very popular and fairly on par. From what i've read Intel and Crucial are kings of SSDs though. A little more expensive but slightly better in most respects. Durability, software, power use and speeds. Also, you might wanna hold out just a little longer. SSDs are coming down in price. I've seen really good deals on other forums for un-opened SSDs

Cdrov, I've moved your thread into the Hardware Components forum, where you'll be able to get a better answer to your question.

They're both very good using the same controller. Get the one that's cheaper.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Yup both use the same controller. I have the Agility 2 from OCZ, no problems yet whatsoever!

I have the vertex 2 in my desktop. First one bricked (just up and died like ol' yeller) but warranty replaced it with a brand spankin' new one in no time flat. Both are SandForce controllers with similar performance. I also say get whichever is cheaper.

which machine you are intending them for ? OCZ (and most likely Corsair as well as they are basically the same thing with different shell or NAND use) have problem with certain Dell models(so far seems to be mainly old business model but they refuse to give a list of what works/doesn't work) and some lenovo. These are all based on what I have seen on their support forum.

They are basically the same drive with the same warranties only with different decals, brand names and slightly different custom firmware.
Which one should you buy? Whichever one can be delivered to your door for the least amount of money.
Corsair Force 60GB or OCZ Vertex2 60GB SSD??
