Hello! I did a search through the forums but could not find any specific information on this (or i have not just looked good enough, most the threads were 2 years old i found) but is it worth getting the *Corsair* brand ram over just whatever regular brand powernotebooks offer?

If its better quality ram i see no issue in me spending the extra money. Has anyone purchased the Corsair ram from them before? And is it "performance" or "value brand" ram?

Just wanna know if it would be a good purchase, i read somewhere that Corsair offers a lifetime warranty on their ram and stuff, but performance wise im guessing i wont see a big differnece? can anyone comment on this?

(Topic in regards to Powernotebooks own IFL90 brand notebook)

I personally have always had good luck with off brand memory. The thing about off brand memory is it is not tested as much so there's a slightly larger chance it won't work in which case you can just exchange it. I have 2GB of Patriot memory in my ThinkPad right now. I haven't had a problem with it.
