I'm about to take the plunge on a XPS 1330, but I had a couple questions about it first.

    1) Is the LED worth it? From what I've read on the reviews and threads, it sounds like it's worth it. $150 seems somewhat high for me though, and I want to make sure that I don't later regret having paid $150 for a tiny improvement.

    2) Is the optional TV tuner worth it? I've got an ATI tv tuner right now and I hate it (very choppy). I was thinking of getting the tv tuner by AverTV that you can order off of dell's site, but I will be using it mainly to watch TV from my room. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to TV tuners, and I was wondering if I'd be able to plug it into the wall rather than using the antenna. I can't see any coaxial plug for it based on the pictures I've seen. If my ATI tv tuner will work fine with this laptop (I'm using it on an old and crappy computer), I don't see any reason to get this thing.

Any help is appreciated. I'm going to order this thing in the next couple of days.

The LED screen is definately worth it. Im guessing your going to want this computer to last you a few years. So why not invest some good money in it? The LCD is one of the things which CANT be upgraded so IMO you should always go for the best screen/res possible. :)

As for the TV tuner I have no idea

I would hold off on tv tuner as you can buy later on your own. The choppiness of your ATI tuner, could it be because CPU is having trouble keeping up? If so try it on the new one it may work well.

On the LED, that is one of the appeals of the 1330 I would get. A shame it only comes with a 1.3MP camera not the 2.0MP like LCD.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll go with the LED then.
