Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a plug or cover for the port replicator/dock socket on the bottom of the Dell Latitude D830 case? Mine came without one, just the open socket on the bottom, a dust trap I don't feel comfortable just leaving open.
I could put some tape over it, but I wondered if there was originally supposed to have been a cover for this, like a plastic or rubber cap or plug.
Thanks!

I did not get a cover either. I don't think there is supposed to be one.

Thanks! Second question: The power cord on the oddly-shaped AC power brick is just....too....short. Do you know of a longer one that will fit in the socket? None of the three spares I have here will fit. (Wall socket to brick cord, not brick to computer cord.)

there is not supposed to be a cover on the bottom, and i do not think a longer cord exists.

I've got a few that fit, but I don't know where you can get them individually:
One is from a Plextor external DVD burner and the other from a Maxtor external HDD. Or are you looking for cables specifically for the Dell adaptor? (Like they curve around so you can wrap it better) -
Thanks... the idea is a longer cord, I'd prefer one that DIDN'T wrap around
but if its longer, I'd take it. I'll google for one.
