Ok lol, this is your second post, overclocking basically means that the componets will run faster but at a cost of heat. Heat is what shortens the lifespans. Most mobile cpus you cant o.c. but you can overclock your gpu which would give you more fps.

It's like running really fast on a hot 90 degree day for a really long time without water. Oh and your being forced to run by a car that is going to run you over if you slow down. :)

What are your temps? Use HWMonitor to see what they are. With that GPU, you probably don't need to OC. It will probably be pretty hot as it is.

The risks of overclocking really powerful (and expensive) components are not worth it if you don't utilize 100% of that component's potential to begin with. I wouldn't recommend overclocking unless you are already using the GPU to the max and require even more performance.

most mobile cpus can overclock, you just have to know how to do it.
check the thread in my sig for help with setfsb and clockgen. Also there is info on cpu pin mod to overclock and PLL pin mod.

    Post 1 - CPU overclocking

    Post 4 - GPU overclocking?

    Same thing, just different parts.

Overclocking is just like what it says, take the stock speed of something known as the clock and overclocking is raising it to a new faster speed.

Overclocking the cpu can usually be done via software like clockgen, setfsb, or maybe your laptops built in turbo like functions.

Gpu overclocking can be done usually with programs like rivatuner.

Make sure you do a decent amount of research into overclocking. It's not something that you can just read up in a day and become an expert. If you overclock too much, you risk melting your CPU or GPU, or at least damaging it.
