The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

in everest when testing memoery and seeing its comparison. im seeing timings of with CR2. IE, 5-5-5-18 CR2. My memory is not CR2 and seems to perform worse then the computer above me(very similar in configuration) to mine.

So what is CR2 an what does it do? Also, where and how can i get it or where is it used?(also, seeing CR1)

The Command Rate (CR) is the time needed between the chip select signal and when commands can be issued to the RAM module IC. Typically, these are either 1 clock or 2.
I guess you can alter them in the BIOS (OEM may have them locked out, and I haven't seen CR in notebook's BIOSs, maybe its only for desktops). And maybe 2T provides compatibility and 1T - Performance.
